The Fives Beach Hotel & Residences is nestled along the sun-drenched shores of Playa Del Carmen lies a hidden gem! I honestly was not quite sure what to expect when I booked this trip but WOW was I pleasantly surprised. I had an extraordinary experience at this tropical oasis, where every moment was filled with bliss, relaxation, and unforgettable memories. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the stunning beauty, impeccable service, and unparalleled experiences that awaited me.
To get there, you will fly into the Cancun International Airport (CUN). From there, grab a taxi or pre-arranged transport to the hotel. It is roughly a 45-minute drive and could take longer due to the current road construction in Cancun.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted and welcomed with a delightful mimosa or cocktail of your choice to enjoy during the check-in process. Unlike several other resort experiences, getting checked in and off to the room took less than 15 minutes. I also didn’t have to wait for the bags to arrive, they were transported immediately to the villa. This vacation started off great and I couldn’t wait to start exploring and relaxing!
Immerse Yourself in Luxurious Accommodations:
The one-bedroom suite was a haven of comfort. The spacious living area, adorned with plush furnishings, created a warm and inviting ambiance. The private balconies (yep, there were two) offered fantastic views of the adult pool and lush tropical gardens. Due to the layout of the resort, none of the villas have an oceanfront view but I did not mind that at all as I enjoyed the walk through the jungle on the wooded path each morning. After all, you never knew when you would come across one of the wild resort residents.
Gastronomic Delights:
At Fives Beach, culinary excellence is a way of life. The resort has an array of dining options, each offering a unique gastronomic journey. From elegant fine-dining restaurants to casual beachside cafes, I savored a medley of international and Mexican flavors. The expertly crafted cocktails and attentive service added to the overall culinary experience. Out of all of the options, Sea Olive was my absolute favorite and daily go-to for lunch. I recommend that you place your dinner dining reservations as soon as possible upon arrival to book the desired time that will work best for you each day of your trip. The later times do fill up pretty quickly and you don’t want to miss out on the opportunity to try each restaurant.
Serene Beach Bliss:
The beach was absolutely beautiful. The water was clear and refreshing. Whether I lounged in one of the many complimentary beach chairs, took a refreshing swim, or simply watched the sunset paint the sky in hues of orange and pink, the beach provided a serene escape from the world.
If the beach is not quite your thing, you also have the option to relax by one of the 10 stunning swimming pools that weaved their way through the villas of the resort with the two main pools overlooking the beach. There truly is something for everyone here!
